About the company
The Nictus group was founded in 1945 and listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) in 1969, with its main operations based in what was then South West Africa. In 2012, Nictus Holdings (Nictus Namibia) was unbundled from the JSE-listed company and, on 21 September 2012, obtained a primary listing on the NSX. Nictus is a Namibian holding company whose subsidiaries retail motor vehicles, tyres, automotive glass, furniture, building supplies and hardware. The group also provides vehicle tracking, vehicle rental, call centre, financing and insurance services. Its operations are reported across three segments: retail, properties, and insurance and finance.
